About This Role

**Responsibilities Answer incoming calls from customers in need of towing and roadside assistance Effectively communicate with customers and tow truck operators to ensure work is on schedule and well organized Dispatch tow truck operators efficiently, assigning the closest available truck to each call Ensure tow truck operators have proper instructions to perform their duties in a timely and safe manner Listen to tow truck operators' concerns and act on them accordingly Monitor GPS tracking system to track truck locations and job status in real time Perform all related clerical duties including invoicing, record-keeping, and daily logs Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and follow-ups professionally and promptly Coordinate with insurance companies and collision centres when required Requirements Superior organizational skills — ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective and creative problem solver who stays calm under pressure Good keyboard skills & computer literate (dispatching software, GPS systems, basic MS Office) Excellent customer service skills — friendly, professional, and empathetic on every call Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing accuracy Superior time management and multi-tasking ability Good knowledge of the City of Edmonton and surrounding area roads Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends Assets (Definite Advantage) Post-secondary education in a related field Previous dispatching experience in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of the towing industry Experience with GPS and fleet tracking software Bilingual (English + any other language spoken in Edmonton)
